Construction Update
Location:
The first phase of the project is located near the ball fields on Turtle Lane just off Harbor Road. This entails laying the force main which will follow the Ti Haul Trail to Bay Road, cross the LaPlatte River just north of the Bay Road Bridge and then follow Bay Road north to Turtle Lane and the Crown Road wastewater treatment facility.
Work Hours:
Construction activities will be restricted to the daytime hours of 7AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday. No weekend work, or work outside the standard hours is currently planned. If this is necessary, ECI will need to request this in advance and get approval from the Town.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
June 29 - July 3: Drilling under the La Platte River (Bay Road) will continue and some tree trimming along Bay Road will begin.
The initial work at the Ti Haul Trail is complete and the trail will be open again for use over the Independence Day weekend. A small amount of tree removal is needed along the trail and will be posted in partnership with our Tree Warden.
Week beginning July 6: Road closure during the day on Bay Road on the north side of the LaPlatte River is expected to be in effect, depending on ground/drilling conditions. There will be no impact during the Independence Day weekend. Boater access to the Shelburne Bay Access will be from Harbor Road while this closure is in effect.
