Construction Update
Location:
The first phase of the project is located near the ball fields on Turtle Lane just off Harbor Road. This entails laying the force main which will follow the Ti Haul Trail to Bay Road, cross the LaPlatte River just north of the Bay Road Bridge and then follow Bay Road north to Turtle Lane and the Crown Road wastewater treatment facility.
Work Hours:
Construction activities will be restricted to the daytime hours of 7AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday. No weekend work, or work outside the standard hours is currently planned. If this is necessary, ECI will need to request this in advance and get approval from the Town.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
October 12 – 16:
Bay Road will remain closed, and local traffic only will be able to access the road. The closure is between Spinnaker Lane and the bridge crossing the LaPlatte River. Bay Road between Edward Drive and Crown Road will be one lane with alternating traffic and flagger assistance.
The sign on Route 7 will read: "Bay Road Closed at Spinnaker Lane.'
There will be an emergency lane for emergency response vehicles.
To access Shelburne Farms and Shelburne Point use Harbor Road.
The Ti Haul Trail is closed for tree and vegetation clearing and expected to re-open on October 9, 2026. It is open during non-work hours and on weekends.
The civil crew will continue open trenching within the road. Sewer pipes will continue to be installed. The drill crew will continue the LaPlatte River reaming.
October 19 - 23: During this week, the civil crew will continue with open cut on Bay Road; the drill crew will continue the LaPlatte River reaming.
